Mutable Hardware: The Revolution in Technological Flexibility

Uncategorized

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Oswaldo Merchan, CEO of Mecabotic. As the creator of the concept of mutable hardware, I am pleased to present this innovative idea that we implement in each of our solutions at Mecabotic.
What is Mutable Hardware?
Imagine you have a project for a client where you need to integrate various technologies and subsystems. The project begins with a requirement for access control. Normally, you might opt for access controls from brands like Hikvision or Suprema. Regardless of the brand of hardware you choose, you will be acquiring hardware with a single function: access control.
These devices, although updatable, will always be limited to that specific functionality. Access controls are excellent, but we bring you an alternative that is not as rigid.
Your client, “ACME,” asks for new requirements: having environmental telemetry and controlling access to a warehouse area. You think, “Well, now I have to quote for this other device for environmental telemetry.”
But the choice of brand is not all. There are many additional factors you will need to consider, starting with the security of the device itself, its autonomy, its integration capability, warranty, support, and a host of elements you will have to worry about from now on.
If the client needs new functionalities again, such as a color sensor or additional relays, you would have to acquire more hardware, manage greater complexity, and costs and time would increase.
Without the right tool, at least a PSIM, or with an advanced and intelligent platform like Metotran, the project would be doomed to failure.
At Mecabotic, our hardware has a superpower: MUTABILITY.
Mutability, in simple terms, is the ability of something to change. Our mutable hardware can adapt and change according to your needs.
With our mutable hardware, the scenario is different. Imagine that the same device you use for access control can adapt to new needs. If your client requires new functionalities, you simply add the necessary sensor or module like a LEGO piece, and everything syncs automatically or with a few adjustments. Your hardware evolves and adapts (Yes, like a Pokémon), offering new capabilities without the need to change the ecosystem.
This is the power of MUTABLE HARDWARE: hardware that grows, adapts, and evolves, like a Pokémon, to meet the demands of your projects and clients.
In future posts, I will show you more examples, including when I explained it to my grandma.
Our solutions at Mecabotic are what you need to stand out in a market full of imitations where everyone does the same.
